06 Training Matrix
Trained for the job. Before the job starts.
The question after an accident is always the same: was this person trained for the task? The Training Matrix answers it before the accident, for every worker, contractor and role, and warns you before a certificate runs out.

How it works
Three steps on the shop floor.
- 01
Map roles to training
Define what each role needs: forklift operators need a licence and refresher, maintenance needs lockout-tagout, and everybody needs induction.
- 02
Record and verify
Record classroom sessions, toolbox talks and external certificates with attendance, scores and a scan of the certificate.
- 03
Stay current
The matrix shows valid, expiring and expired cells. Supervisors are alerted before a worker is due, and gaps show up before a shift is planned.
What Training Matrix does.
Role-based matrix
Requirements follow the role, so a worker moved to a new line immediately shows what they still need.
Certificates
Forklift, crane, first aid, work at height, confined space and electrical certificates with expiry dates.
Contractors
Contractor workers have their own induction and permit-linked training before they enter the plant.
Toolbox talks
Record daily toolbox talks, including those created from AI Hazard Eye alerts and incident lessons.
QR attendance
Workers mark attendance by scanning a code at the session, so registers are complete without paperwork.
Renewal alerts
Alerts go to the worker's supervisor 30 days before expiry and again on the day.
