The control room wall

Every risk in the plant on one wall.

Seven modules share one record. A near-miss becomes a CAPA, an audit finding becomes a CAPA, an expired licence lights a lamp, and the scorecard shows it all.

Near-miss reports per week. More reporting means hazards surface before injuries.

Why near-misses come first

Injuries start at the bottom of the triangle.

Frank Bird's 1969 study of 1.7 million accident reports found that for every serious injury there were roughly 600 near-misses. The exact ratio varies by plant, but the lesson holds: the cheapest injury to prevent is the one that was only a near-miss yesterday.

Excelehs is built for that bottom layer. Reporting takes under a minute, nobody has to give their name, and every report goes somewhere: to a CAPA, an owner and a deadline.

Rules we built AI Hazard Eye on

It watches conditions. Never faces.

What it looks for

  • Missing helmet, hi-vis or safety shoes
  • Person inside a forklift lane
  • Blocked fire exits and extinguishers
  • Liquid spills on walkways
  • Entry into marked danger zones
  • Smoke or open flame outside hot work

What it never does

  • No face recognition or identity matching
  • No disciplinary decisions, ever
  • No action without a safety officer's review
  • Plant data is never sold
  • Video stays inside plant systems where possible
  • No worker league tables or blame lists

Excelehs supports compliance. It does not replace statutory inspections, competent persons, safety officers or legal advice.

Questions

Asked at the gate.

Something else on your mind? The Safety Cell replies to every message.

Ask the Safety Cell
Does AI Hazard Eye need new cameras?
Usually no. It works with the IP CCTV cameras most plants already have, through your existing recorder (NVR) using standard RTSP or ONVIF streams. During setup we check each camera's angle, height and lighting and tell you plainly which views will give reliable alerts and which will not.
Is it used to punish workers?
No. AI Hazard Eye looks for unsafe conditions and acts, not identities, and it does not use face recognition. Every alert is reviewed by a safety officer before any action, and the action is a CAPA that fixes the condition or a toolbox talk that trains the team. AI never takes disciplinary decisions.
Which laws does the legal register cover?
The register starts from the requirements that commonly apply to Indian manufacturing plants: the Factories Act, 1948 and state factory rules, the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 as its rules are notified, the Water and Air Acts with consent conditions, the Environment (Protection) Rules, hazardous waste and chemical rules, state fire safety law, and labour returns. Your team confirms what applies to each plant. Excelehs tracks due dates and evidence; the plant stays responsible for compliance.
Can contractors report incidents?
Yes. Contractors and visitors can report from a QR code at the gate or workstation without an app or login, in Hindi, Marathi or English, with photos. Anonymous reporting is allowed, so people report what they see instead of staying quiet.
Does it work for many plants?
Yes. Each plant has its own register, CAPAs, audits and training matrix, and the EHS Scorecard rolls them up so a group EHS head can compare near-miss rates, CAPA closure and audit scores across every site on one screen.
How long does setup take?
A single plant can start reporting incidents on the first day. The baseline safety audit and legal register are usually set up in the first week. AI Hazard Eye takes longer because cameras are checked one by one; most plants have their first cameras live within two to three weeks.
